The standard cost of tuition at Queen Tuition is £24 per hour. 
Choose one of our deals in the “What’s New” section (in the left column) and pay even less!

Tuition will take place at your home*, at a time that suits you. It is up to you how often you want a tutor to visit and how long you want the sessions to be. Our recommendation is 1.5 – 2 hour session/s per week. The minimum session duration is 1 hour.

Sessions will concentrate on the pupil’s main difficulties. Although not absolutely necessary, a good approach for students is to come to their first lesson with a list of topics they find particularly difficult to grasp. In this way, tutors can immediately focus on the student’s core needs without having to spend time asking questions they are already competent on. 

The tutor can go through material currently covered at school, to ensure the pupil is up-to-date with his/her school work. 
We also recommend tutors to assist their students with past papers, as focusing on previous examples proves to be most efficient in preparing well for exams.
The tutor will set homework for the student after each session.

We do our best to provide tuition that suits the pupil’s individual needs, regularly contacting our clients throughout the school year, to monitor quality of teaching. We believe every pupil can succeed, given the proper encouragement and support. 

* If you live further than 5 miles from Edinburgh’s city centre, we will ask you to pay an additional fee (£2 per mile per session). We will then pay this to the tutor, to help them cover their travel expenses. Alternatively, you may choose to travel to the tutor’s house.
